STEP 1

EVALUATE
Your Homeownership

The first step of your journey begins with discovering where you are in your current homeownership. Because everything is interconnected, you'll need to evaluate where you stand in all of the following areas:

  • Basic Financial Position

  • Health and Social Well-being

  • Personal Support Network (family & friends)

  • Estate and Legal Standings (Title and Trust)

  • Homeownership or Real Estate

By answering 6 simple questions for each of these 5 categories, you'll discover where you truly are today in your homeownership

STEP 4

EXPLORE
Your "Where"
Options

I’ve narrowed it down to FOUR options:

1) Remain in your current home

2) Purchase a new home that better suits your lifestyle

3) Transition to a Retirement Community:

Let’s Prioritize your wants and needs: Whenever you have ten items (or less) where you need to decide which one is most important to you, which one is next most important, etc. this prioritization grid should help immensely. Instead of trying to decide between ten items, you need only decide between two items at a time. The question is always: “If I could have “A” in my life or “B”, or “B” but not “A”, which one would I choose?”.

If you would like to use an on-line (auto-calculating) version of the Prioritization Grid, go to: www.StayOrGoHomeowner.com/prioritize
